What you need to qualify
Title loan requirements are refreshingly short: no credit history novels, no collateral appraisals beyond your car. Five items cover nearly every lender. Have them ready and you are set up for same-day funding.
The 5-item checklist
- Vehicle title in your name. Clear (fully paid off) is ideal; some lenders accept titles with a small remaining balance if you have enough equity.
- Government-issued photo ID. Driver's license, state ID, or passport. You must be at least 18 (21 in some states).
- Proof of income. Recent paystub, bank statements, benefits or pension letter, or tax documents if self-employed. Any steady income counts.
- Proof of residence. A utility bill, lease, or bank statement with your address. It establishes which state lenders can serve you.
- Proof of insurance. Often required, especially for larger loans. Your existing policy is fine.
Most lenders also want to see the vehicle itself, usually just phone photos of the exterior, odometer, and VIN for online title loans.
What about my credit?
Not on the list, and that is the point. Your vehicle secures the loan, so bad credit is usually fine and checking your rate through us never involves a hard credit pull.
Vehicle requirements
Cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans all qualify. Lenders care about wholesale value, driven by year, make, model, mileage, and condition. Most offer 25%–50% of that value. Older or high-mileage vehicles can still qualify; the loan amount just adjusts. Not sure what yours is worth? The form gives you a preliminary estimate in about 60 seconds.
